![]() The tour is about 1 hour and very cool and educational. The trailer has a hidden pod underneath that you get to go into. The Actual Tour and Launch site are at Exit #127 in an ordinary looking trailer. They are available at 8am during the summer. Tickets are obtained first come, first served at the visitor center off of exit 131. The Guided Tour is the real gem and you need a ticket. Make the effort and you won't be disappointed. It is very cool when you realize both the launch facility and missile are within sight of I-90 and have been for decades literally hiding in plain sight. This National Historic Site is both a guided tour of the launch facility and a stop at an actual Minuteman Missile II Site. Around the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis we (the US) placed about 1500 Minuteman Missiles in South Dakota. OK - this one is complicated and definitely worth the visit.
